Outdoor engagement photographOutdoor Engagement sessions

Many couples are starting to go away from the traditional posed engagement and bridal photography sessions, and prefer outdoor sessions instead.

One of the best reasons for an outdoor engagement session is that you and your future spouse can pick a location that is special to you.  Imagine photographs of the two of you walking through the park where you went on your first date, or where he proposed.

A loving interaction between the two of you is often more natural outside of a studio.  A walk through a park or across a bridge gives us the opportunity to photograph you showing your feelings in a way that is almost not possible in the studio.

Are there downsides?  Of course, there are downsides to everything.  Outdoor engagement sessions make clothing changes more difficult.  There may be a problem with weather.  And you will probably have to wake up early for your session as the best light is in the morning.

But let’s not forget that outdoor sessions are usually more fun than studio sessions and allow you and your future spouse to be yourselves.

Frequently Asked Question

Q: How many images do you take at a wedding?
A: As much as I would like to answer this question, we do not set a fixed number of photographs to take at a wedding.  But generally we deliver between 50 and 100 images per hour.  For an average 6 hour wedding that will work out to between 300 and 600 images for you to preview.  This is just an estimate; there may be hours where we take 10 images and there may be hours where we take 250.  No two weddings are the same.

It’s also important not to base your decision solely on the number of images taken or delivered.  It is the quality of the images that matters, not the quantity.
